That’s all on top of the monthly meetings that are open to everyone where we discuss important issues and arrange campaigning at both local and national levels to promote real ale, breweries and pubs so that you can enjoy a quality pint in an enjoyable environment. As the number of people that get involved with these activities increases, the greater CAMRA’s influencing power.
Of course, we know that everyone’s busy and can’t get along to events or maybe doesn’t want to but that’s where Ale Delight comes in. This is the monthly email that I send to members that lets you know what’s happening beer-wise around Leeds. You can even nominate pubs for awards and vote online, and help select venues for the Good Beer Guide all from the comfort of your own (or pub) chair.
Also, we’re active on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube so it’s even easier to keep in touch. And I’m not alone in thinking we’re one of the more progressive CAMRA branches in the country.
So, have you liked what you’ve read? If the answer is yes and you’re not a member then why not join CAMRA. If you’ve already signed up I look forward to welcoming you into our branch community.

Hello everyone. I’m Warren and as branch Membership Secretary I’d like to welcome you to Leeds CAMRA, whether you’re 18 or 80 and if you’re already a member or thinking about joining.
Now, did you know there are around 2,300 members in Leeds branch and approaching 200,000 nationally? This makes us the 8th largest branch in the country but we’re much more than just a big number.
We’re an active bunch and have many things going on from City Centre Socials on weekday evenings and Saturday Socials that visit places further out and about through to brewery tours and presentations to award winning pubs. And, don’t forget, in June it’s the time of the annual Leeds Beer Festival. Do check out the calendar for more info.
We have a branch Young Members Contact who deals with all things to do with, you’ve guessed it, Young Members! And that person also happens to be me.
There are around 18,000 members nationally who are 30 or under (Young Members) with around 200 in the Leeds branch, which is a healthy percentage of branch members. And did you know that 4 branch committee members are in their 20s or 30s? So you see, we’re a diverse bunch.
As well as very regular branch socials hosted by Adam our Social Secretary, that are open to all and where you’ll get a friendly welcome, I organise irregular events aimed at Young Members.
