2 new openings in Leeds city centre selling real ale are Cosy Club on Albion Street and Slocken on Call Lane. Slocken is owned by the same people behind Wapentake, there are 4 hand pulls dispensing beers from local breweries. Cosy Club is a large upstairs restaurant and bar, choice of 2 cask ales.
A planning application has been submitted to develop the site on which Stick or Twist is located. It's not clear yet whether there will still be a pub there in this development.
The well know and established off licence Ale Shop in Woodhouse is reportedly closed, no news of its future.
Meanwhile Gowlers Beer Shop in Headingley is seeking a full on licence.
