The Owl, a gastropub, is the first ever pub to open in Leeds Kirkgate Market. Beers in the taproom will be from Northern Monk brewery.

What was the Half Moon in Collingham is now called Cromwell's Bar & Kitchen. It has had a makeover with the separate back room being knocked through and a semi circular bar.
Phil at Hungry Bear in Meanwood has brewed a beer called Allotment Ale using locally grown hops, he is also working on a Xmas beer for sale on draft and in bottles.
The Terminus nearby celebrates 1 year since opening on 23rd Nov, a birthday beer is planned.
The first beers produced on the kit in the Malt Brewhouse have been on sale in the pub. A blonde ale and pale ale were on hand pump, more different beers are planned.
The Festival of Brewers, an event showcasing local small breweries, is happening on Saturday 23rd Nov at the New Craven Hall in Leeds. Check out the website for details.
