Brewery tap news: Garforth's Quirky brewery's Tap Room and Bottle Shop is now open, selling a range of their own ales on draught and in bottle, plus a few from further afield. There's a similar happy situation at the Wetherby Brew Co. Here the Bottle Shop is open all week and but the Tap Room is currently only open at weekends, and they have pie.

Offie news: Growlers in Headingley now has an on-licence, so you can drink on the premises. The prices are keen, too. Back in Wetherby, the Bottle and Bean is a bottle shop, a “craft keg”bar and a cafe that also has gallery space and a record player!

Sad news is that the lovely Tall Boys Beer Market has closed, as has Ham and Friends (Yorkshire Wine remains open).

Frisky Bear of Morley, who formerly only produced beer in keg and bottle, now put one of their ales into cask – Grizzly Bear, an IPA at 4.5%.

Wilde Child brewery, Armley Road, is having an Open Day on April 14th – celebrating their second birthday!

New to Horsforth is Granville's Beer and Gin House, and is reportedly well worth a visit.

Garforth is to gain a beer/cafe/pizza establishment – more news when it comes in.

Headingley's Original Oak has had a makeover, with extra handpumps being added to bring the total to four in the main bar and in the refurbished Plymouth Lounge.
