Some interesting news of new breweries to our area.

Seven Brothers is a Salford-based brewery that’s been going since 2014. They’ve already got five bars in Manchester and another in Liverpool, but now they’re  looking for a premises in Leeds.


Lake District-based Handsome Brewery will open its first permanent taproom in Leeds in 2022. They’ve taken over the old fancy dress shop opposite the University of Leeds and it’s being completely transformed. They’re ripping it all out and building it back up to create a pub with a traditional-yet-modern feel with a mural on the outside wall which you can see now. Once open, you’ll be able to try their core range, including the FKR Lager and the Strange Pale Ale. Planned opening is in March sometime.

Concept Taverns  have acquired the Northern Snooker Centre on Kirkstall Rd, we await to see if they include the Concept beers on the bar.

Ridgeside Brewery have a a canning line and have increased their plant capacity. Watch put for news of a Taproom this year.

Anthology Brewery have a new conditioning tank which will increase capacity. Taproom days are planned for Spring and Summer, check their social media sites for dates.

Amity Brew Co now have their own canning line and are looking at crowdfunding to  raise funds for an enhanced brewplant.

Meanwood Brewery  are in production using their new larger kit and   have a canning line as well. New beers from this include "Court of Horrors"and "Purple Goddess".

Nomadic Brewery celebrated their 5th anniversary at the end of January. Here's Katie and the team enjoying the day.
